In SMEs, investment in human resources, equality plans, etc. are rarely considered as crucial tools to increasing competitiveness, to assimilate and spread new technologies. ELMA will provide several kind of innovation together with new approaches to the use of exiting methods, instruments and products. The main goal of the ELMA project is to establish a trans-national network that will encourage private sector to introduce new trends in the human resource management with the special focus on diversity and gender equality in the workplace. The main project products which will support the fulfilment of the set project goal and aims are as follows:

* · VET on line distance education course

* · The new trends and perspectives in Human Resource Management

* · Pilot run of on-line distance education course

* · The new trends and perspectives in Human Resource Management for 15 participants in each of participating 5 countries

* · The comparative study on ICT possibilities for HRD managers

* · Report on methodology and design

* · Report on current best practices in the area of HRD

* · Report on the future oriented trends in the area of HRD *

· Leaflets and brochures on Equal opportunities and Gender equality Through VET for managers and HR managers in SMEs and international collaboration

ELMA project consortium wants to:

* · Raise awareness of the diversity in the workplace.

* · Promote in companies and society positive context of diversity meaning workplace that respects and includes differences, and create a work environment that maximizes the potential of all employees.

* · Share knowledge and experiences at a regional level and promote the development of new approaches in the field of VET for SMEs.

* · Improve the quality of the management decision-making and SMEs HRD professionals via VET.

* · Ensure that the project network continues to exist at the end of the project period by positive encouragement of new partners to join and contribute to the innovative approaches developed by the project network. ELMA project consortium consists of 7 partners (3 SMEs, 2 university partners, and 2 training institutions) from 5 different European countries * €“ Slovakia, Malta, Czech Republic, Spain, and Italy.

CONSEN EEIG Euro-Group, expresses its willingness to be the partner of the Leonardo da Vinci project:

* €œE-learning for the European Labour Market Enhancement* €, promoted by TELEGRAFIA, Ltd., Kosice, Slovakia. Activities that our organisation will contribute during the project include:

* · Responsible for the preparation of the module * €œThe equal opportunities and diversity at the workplace* €œ within the course * €œ The new trends and perspectives in Human Resource Management * · Responsible for the preparation of the training package for module * · The equal opportunities and diversity at the workplace* €œ (to be edited)

* · Organisation of the activities and actions for raising awareness

* · Pilot run in any of the six current members countries (ESP, BEL, EST, NLD, GRC, POL) for 15 participants

* · Participation in the identifying, defining and sorting of current Best and Good Practices and future oriented best practice models

* · Dissemination of the project results

The total budget for our organisation is 65 000 EUR, budget from Leonardo da Vinci grant is 48.750 EUR and co financing is 16.250 EUR (25%).

Dear all, thank you for being patient and thanks to Ferran for the interesting ideas and proposal. The state of the arts of ELMA project is as follows: thanks to your support we have submitted the full proposal of the project on 10 February this year we are waiting for the receit acknowledgement from the Slovak LdV NA once we get it I will certainly inform you immediatelly the review process should be finished sometimes in summer and then we will be informed whether we are successful or not So my proposal would be to wait until we know more and then start working and possibly build the ELMA cooperative web site.
