Pilot projects of two years. VISiYES (Virtual and Integrated Support for innovative Young Entrepreneurs & Start-ups)

Approved

The VISiYES project will construct a comprehensive set of ‘blended-learning’ business support tools applying the ease of use of the Internet.

VISiYES (Virtual and Integrated Support for innovative Young Entrepreneurs & Start-ups) helps young entrepreneurs and micro enterprises to identify gaps in their business knowledge and to address these with a 'development plan' that is both relevant and achievable.

VISiYES will deliver an innovative curriculum for the informal, formal & accredited Entrepreneurship education, tailored to e-tutoring, implementing for the first time Negotiated Work-Based Learning methodology within a trans-European comprehensive virtual & integrated blended e-learning environment.

The curriculum includes all self-directed competence-driven learning components, ranging from entrepreneurial skills, self-assessment tools to content modules covering the business innovation cycle (business planning, innovation & knowledge/intellectual capital management, networking/clustering & internationalisation management, etc.), to be summarised as “all tools to learn how to do innovative business”.

Negotiated Work-Based Learning (NWBL) differs from modular schemes in that instead of assembling programmes from pre-existing components, learner are involved in creating pathways that draw chiefly on experiential sources of learning, backed by investigation, e-tutor support and other activities as appropriate in each case. The Internet based software will link users to tutors & business advisors who will guide them to acquire these new competences.

CONSEN will assume the following responsibilities in the project:
  1. Key role in the non-technical development and testing of the framework and content for the ‘business support tool-kit’, with a focus on testing the seamless integration of innovation & enterprise networking tools
  2. Minor role in related technical development, including customisation for the Spanish stakeholders
  3. Recruiting, selecting & coaching 10 end-users, micro-entrepreneurs and/or start-ups from their network
  4. Piloting of the tool-kit (Phases I and II) with end users and target groups in Spain with 25 selected Spanish end-users (micro-entrepreneurs and/or start-ups).
  5. Design and delivery of staff development sessions, workshops and online transnational tutoring sessions.
  6. Active involvement in the evaluation and dissemination (valorisation) processes and in the transnational project team meetings. Valorisation will include participation in relevant national and international networking events & trade fairs addressing innovative entrepreneurs and micro-enterprises, including relevant events in Spain.
  7. To exploit the VISiYES project results as part of its own regular & core activities as well as jointly with VISiYES partners under common public license agreement or similar
  8. Leading a work package as to be identified in the full proposal concerning valorisation strategy and enterprise networking.
